class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">The Africa CDC has launched a new Mental Health Leadership Programme (AMHLP) to address the African population\u2019s mental health challenges.<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7f364fb elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"7f364fb\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Funded by Wellcome, the programme forms part of the Africa CDC\u2019s continental strategic priorities on NCDs, Injuries, and Mental health, which lays out a clear pathway for coordinated actions and support for Member States on public mental health.<\/p><p>The programme has four pillars which are:<\/p><ol><li>Support the integration of Mental health into the existing Africa CDC Kofi Annan Global Health Leadership Programme<\/li><li>Establish an African Field Epidemiology Training Programme (FETP) in Global Mental Health.<\/li><li>Implement the Short Public Mental Health Leadership Courses<\/li><li>Strengthen the Networking and Civil Society Engagement<\/li><\/ol><p>It is funded by Wellcome Trust, and implemented by the Africa Centres for Disease Control (CDC), AFENET and CBM Global, with other
